Perhaps the best definition of lifestyle photography is that it seeks to capture real-life events in an artistic manner. The concepts of candid, undirected shots with those that do involve posing and significant direction are merged together. Rather than waiting for those moments to naturally occur, you create a shoot that helps create those moments.

Newborn Session
Capturing the precious moments of a newborn's early days is a cherished experience for many families. A newborn photography package is a thoughtful investment in preserving the fleeting moments of a newborn's early life. By selecting the right package, you can enjoy beautifully captured memories that will be cherished for years to come.
All sessions will be held either in your home or my home. Please choose whichever location fits your preferred style and comfort for the baby and your family. I have a few different package options that we can discuss to meet your needs. Typically, sessions last between 2 to 3 hours to accommodate feeding, changing, and soothing the baby. You will have access to a variety of props such as blankets, baskets, and backgrounds to enhance the photographs.

Family Session Workflow
The first thing I do with a family is get everyone into position for a few posed images. It is really important to me to snap one photo where everyone in the family is looking at the camera. If you get this photo out of the way, though, it means that you have more room to play and it’s no big deal if hairs fall out of place or we even get a bit messy. That’s part of the lifestyle fun! Next up are photos of mom with her sweet babies. Moms are often the ones behind the camera so it's important to me that I get some shots of mom with individual children and one of mom with all her babies. Dad is up next! Posed shots or photos of dad playing around with his kiddos are great options. It is also really important to me to try to get one posed sibling shot, whether kids are standing or sitting. After that comes the fun, playful sibling shots. I love seeing their individual personalities come out in these shots. Last, but not least, are children's headshots and parent's solo shots. These can be either up close and/or full body.
Travel Fees
Clients should note that a travel fee may apply to locations outside of Douglas County. This fee will take into account expenses for gas, meal/drink, and drive time. There is a $25 minimum fee for locations outside of Douglas County.
