Colorado Bison
Daniels Park, located in Sedalia, arches over a ridge that suddenly feels far removed from any city. With its sweeping green landscape, bluffs, and buttes, you'll find a bison herd. It's where urban sprawl meets the wild. This particular bison caught my attention after he had been nosing around in the snow. The snow seemed to stick, giving me a very entertaining photo.

Kilauea Lighthouse
The Kilauea Lighthouse and Wildlife Refuge is a captivating and ecologically significant site located on the northern coast of the beautiful Hawaiian island of Kauai. My husband and I had the pleasure of visiting it recently on our 20th anniversary to Kauai. The Kilauea Lighthouse stands tall on a dramatic bluff overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Built-in 1913, it has a striking white exterior and a distinctive red roof, making it a picturesque landmark that has guided mariners for over a century.
